This exhibition is about having a conversation with yourself, starting with the question "How are you?" The most common responses that follow are "good" or "more or less", or "fine." All good news, right?
The exhibition "To Me, To You" is the answer to the question above, which we don't want to hear, but in most cases – we don't want to give either. This answer often comes from a dark place scarier than a switched off lamp in a children’s room. This is a place we wouldn’t want to be. If we just so happen to have visited it, we realise that we should be thankful for being who we are and maybe, just maybe, we can answer the question “how are you?” with the simple “not good”.

Depression – this severe condition that inflicts itself on mind, spirit and body will be found in each of the following pages of "To me, To you". The whole art is signed with pain, fear, anger, apathy, resignation, alienation, loneliness, insomnia and thousands of other states that our demons dig out from the our most intimate corners in order to show us that we are vulnerable. It will follow the thorny and very ugly path along which our feet will mentally tear each pair of shoes, trying to get through in order to reach the cherished "I'm fine, I'm really fine".

We put this psychological state at the core of our exhibition, lifting the veil of ignorance and opening a place for empathy, compassion for the help that is needed in such moments.

The exhibition contains 6 stages which a person in depression is going through. The exhibition contains 108 illustrations. In all of the illustrations by changing the colours (red and blue light), the inner and outer world of the character is revealed. The whole art is filled with fear, alienation, loneliness and other states that our demons dig out from our most intimate corners.

The other artists included in the "To Me, To You" exhibition are Grigovor, Gena and Mila Robert. They are the real voice of the illustrations and this makes the whole exhibition immersive for the viewer. The lyrics and music are both a reflection of the work of Mihaela and Borislava, and a look at the inner experiences of Grigovor, Gena and Mila Robert.

We also created a book printed in two editions, containing author's texts written by Mihaela Kamishev, photographers behind the scenes and all of the illustrations from the exhibition which when viewed through a red or blue paper change.

Another proof of the good and especially necessary work on the idea of Mihaela and Borislava is the short film by Martin Grahovski, which documents the work on the project of the illustrators. It captures the entire process from the idea to realization and allows access to the most personal experiences of Sisters in draw. The film will also feature the art residency preceding the exhibition. There, all participating artists share personal stories related to depression and develop a collaborative process. The film itself has 2 cinema screenings presented at the House of Cinema, Sofia.
